Just having a moan Mad
It`s been fair cold around here for the last few days.
The local authorities have been gritting the roads at night.

But JEEZE! how much grit do you need to keep a road ice free?
Around here we have our very own gravel/grit skid pan on almost every corner.
At this rate there will be none left in January/February...... just when we might need it most.

There, I`ve had a moan and I`m happy now Thumbs Up

If you want to know when they're doing it have a look here

https://twitter.com/Suff_highways

They post updates each day so you'll know. I've been caught twice by the buggers flinging salt at me...

It was warmer today than in June.

This is a direct consequence of last week's cold snap. You see, just like last winter, I waited for frostbite to set in before zipping the thermal liners in. And, just like last year, the next day the sun is out and it's balmy. And I'm gopping within seconds

It takes weeks for winter salt to wash away fully, any bit of dampness on most roads from now until late April is probably salty.
