Well it is winter and 2 wheels really ain't great in this weather!

As Yams says take it easy, or take the bus if the weathers too bad, like I will be doing this evening going to work.

As I've already said on another thread, this is the worst time of year for bikers. Salt gets crushed into a powder cuts the road surface like wet-n-dry. Look at the pebbles close up on a road surface and you'll see they are polished. If you see that light gray sheen on a dry road be carefull. It means a lot of salt has gone down.
When the roads are obviously wet and slippy we take more care but at this time of year the road can look nice and dry and grippy but it's not.

Aye, there is a terminal lack of grip out there.

Skidded the car twice today on dry roads, and saw a courier nearly take out a scooter when his stopping distance turned out to be a bit more than I reckon he thought it would be.

So KEEP YOUR DISTANCE and give yourself a chance. Thumbs Up
