Viewing a CBR600F3

Might be seeing one next week.

Any specific things people know of to look for other than the usual stuff?

It has 12 owners and 50k miles 1997 model

they suffer from weak reg/rec's but easily replaced.

they also suffer from ticky CCT's which some people replace, but a slightly ticky engine is common on them. If the oil is not milky, good history and it revs cleanly etc.. it's not a big problem (they're easily screw in and out if you do need one)

check the fairing all matches and check behind it if possible for any sign of it going down the road. personally I would walk away from a bike with non-standard fairing unless it was a genuine reason for changing it. - the rear/tail fairing often cracks because of the way it fits to the frame (connects with plugs and if you pull the wrong way they can easily crack) so check that as panels are expensive.

other than that i guess its pretty standard checks.

I'd be surprised if a CBR hasn't been dropped in 19 years and 50,000 miles.

So yes, check for damage, but I'd expect some.

Mine (F2) shat it's second gear. It's exhaust also rotted to buggery.

Otherwise it was pretty solid.

That said, £900 seems a bit lofty.

Price seems a little high...
I picked up an imported 98 f3, 38k on the clock, 6 owners, original but (badly) half pained fairings (no signs of damage to the fairings though).
Mechanically sound bike, used as all weather commuter for 2 years and now its nearing 50k. Has had a replacement reg, manual CCT (easy to do), welded up the down pipes and is now my track bike. They can certainly take a lot of abuse however I will point out when wringing the life out of it on the track mine will jump out of most gears just before the red line (inb4 should be shift before ) but other than that it's all good...
Don't even want to know how c_dug assploded his gearbox on the road
Only replaced the chain once (just getting into track days) so they hold up well.

Thanks for all the advice but my insurance company will charge me 2k to add it and remove the bandit.... So I said no...
