The big, blinky green light on the dash tends to give you a clue...

To be fair I do forget occasionally, I never used to, just started happening randomly.

Still not spending a tenner on a buzzer.

Even buying at Maplins, a 12v buzzer and a couple of diodes is around £3.

Just extra weight. I sometimes junk indicators anyway, if you saw how much wiring it junked you'd be surprised.

It's an age thing. You will be forgetting to put your trousers on before leaving the house before you know it.

On my CBT recently I was not cancelling them for the first half hour on the road, but after the instructor screaming at me (in a nice way) I remembered for the rest of the 2 hour ride and it is something that, as a new rider, I really think about all the time now until it is just natural. I don't think I would like a buzzing device like this but if folk find it useful fair play.

Never forget, it's ingrained. I remember my trainer balling me out and calling me everything under the sun for doing it in a dangerous scenario. Lesson stuck.

I have forgotten a couple of times on the Pan. The problem there (other than my mental ineptitude) is that the indicator idiot lights are at the top of the instrument panel, and being quite tall they are hidden from me by the top of the instrument cowl unless I'm slouching in the saddle (which of course I would never do as my mother taught me to sit up straight). You can't see the indicators themselves from the saddle as they are in the front of the mirror housings.

I have thought about putting repeater LEDs on the mirrors, like this, which will be far more noticeable than a buzzer. I've got the few pence worth of components already, just need to get a little time.

I am a bit surprised at some of the replies here. I am not suggesting that buzzers be made compulsory by law, I am just pointing out that they are available for those who feel that they might benefit. On my Cg 125, there is a warning light, but it is sometimes hard to see in bright sunlight. My instructor never shouted at me for failing to cancel. That was probably because back in 1962 when I took mt test, there were no instructors, and come to that, no indicators. I use a buzzer because in spite of 54 years of experience, I am still capable of making a mistake.
