How not to find biking friends?

Not even sure if this is the right thread but its General i guess. So here I am looking for a motorbike to buy and I see this posting. Am i being too harsh or is this guy trying too hard?

I had the same problem for a few years until I convinced a colleague to get a bike. It is nice sometimes to go out with others so I can see his point. Writing it in the style of a lonely heart ad ruins the atmos somewhat.
