How to pull bearings

I've removed the circlip from these but can't for the life of me get the bearings to shift off.

Advice please.

Get a cheap puller off of ebay or amazon. Two or three finger.

Already have a 3 finger one but the domed head of the piece I need to take the bearing off means the puller just slips off when I tighten it

Ideally a press, but yes, I'd start with a mallet.

You can fairly easily make threaded press from some bolts and a few bits of metal -I've never had much luck with claw'd pullers.

What are these components that you are trying to remove the bearings from? Is the dome part vital? could you centre punch the dome, and drill slightly to give a seat for the puller without spoiling the function of the component?

Hydraulic car jack and some scaffolding, OR ask around for someone who has got a hydraulic press. Bike workshops should have them.

Basically you need a clamp and to be able to do up the bolt to exert pressure on the middle.

Battery post pullers are popular for this job - they don't have the rounded or pointed end.

Put a nut between the puller and the post.

Update on this, have done all the above including heating, cooling, hammering and pressing but they haven't shifted.

Read online on a Ducati forum that these are a stupid tight interference fit and shave off metal when you install new ones which would explain my inability to remove the old ones.

Got replacement bearings for £2 each as they are a standard SKF part and my local bike mechanics will press the old ones off and press the new ones on using their hydraulic press either tomorrow or the next day.
