Need a new laptop battery, any reason why I should avoid the eBay £14-18 batteries? It seems reputable websites price in the £35-50 price range.

Cheers

I wouldn't go as far as to say "avoid". I've used replacement phone batteries from ebay and they are functional, they just sometimes have the sizing a bit off. At worst the laptop batteries might contain lower quality cells along the lines of the infamous 10,000mAH S18650 type batteries which are probably 1000mAh at a push.

Usually the cheapest ones don't last so long.

I normally go for £20-£30 from Amazon
