Starting it after a few weeks idle

I haven't started my 2005 cbr600f for about 6-8 weeks ( had an injury and couldn't get on it) I charged the battery and tried to start it today, the starter just turns but it won't start, any ideas about what I need to do?

six to eight weeks is nothing, keep cranking about ten second bursts, but don't flood it.
Manual Choke or auto? If manual try choke off and full throttle alternating with no throttle and full choke.
At worst a whiff of easy start.
Make sure crank speed is fast as possible by jump leads to another battery.
If still no joy check spark, any chance of mousey activity where it's parked?

Had this last year on the GPZ, did as doggone suggested, 10 second bursts, choke on then off, throttle closed then open. Jump leads to a car battery.

Turned out I had not turned the fuel tap on. Yeah.

It should be a fuel injection engine/ bike, as said the starter motor should turn the engine briskly but don`t touch the throttle.
Kill switch ?????????? On some bikes it just kills the spark only????

Cheers for the replies, I have drained the fuel and put new stuff in...been left almost 3 months the wife informed me 😕

Just waiting for the battery to charge a bit and will give it another go. It is fuel injection and I don't think there is any mouse activity, can't see any signs.

check the kill switch, silly as it sounds I got my mate recently turning his killswitch off, most newer hondas the engine still turns over on the starter even with the killswitch off.

Thanks for the suggestions, new fuel and connected to my car battery got it going. Just been for my last ride of the year 😉
