So my bathroom sub-floor is rotten. It's a tip top quality chip board Rolling Eyes and has been soaked by a faulty bath seal. So rotten I can put my finger through hit with little effort.

Insurance Co are looking into paying under a 'escape of water' clause.

Can anyone recommend a fitter in the Dartford area who can quote for the job? I need a couple for comparison for the insurance co.

As it's spread quite far, the whole suite will need to be ripped out and the complete floor relaid. Annoying but will probably be a good time to replace it (it's foul and cheap).

Cheers!

I'd be interested in knowing how much you get quoted for this as I'm thinking of replacing my bathroom flooring.

Cheers.

I know a great fitter in the Dartford area.

I'm not sure if you've tried her already but it's a girl called Ruslana. She went to a college nearby and did building and then got an apprenticeship.

You may have some issues on insurance front. That's a gradually operating cause and a very standard exclusion. Sorry.

I'd be inclined to find a good joiner to rip out and repair the floor before looking at bathroom fitters.

I did think that myself. Bath seal failure I'd personally put down to negligence or poor fitting. But I did double check when sending photos to the company and they still told me to go ahead with quotes etc.

Oh well, if it's not covered, it's not covered. I'll need it done regardless...

Cheers!
