I think it varies from bike to bike. I've got a powerbronze DB on the Blackbird, and I've no complaints. Thumbs Up

£1?! Crikey. Thats better than my £0.01 for a gold plated audio connection for my hifi.

I've got a no name db screen. Don't really know what to say about it, perhaps a bit out of place Laughing but works well. From hein gericke

Sorry, but can I go against the flow here and say I hate my DB screen Shocked

Got it on Saturday, it's a genuine Suzuki one, and all it done was cause allot more turbulence and hence more wind noise which is unbearable at over 60mph.

It doesn't matter how I position myself on the bike, it's make no difference to the wind noise I experience. At least with the OE one when I tilted my head slightly backward the wind noise would almost vanish.

Anyone else experienced this with a DB screen?

Your not going against the flow at all.
It's just obvious that the Suzuki model doesn't agree with you or is just shite.

No doubt it wasn't very cheap either ?

£55 for a bit of moulded plastic! Shocked

The extra 'bump' on the screen doesn't look as pronounced as I've seen on other DB's. So this might have something to do with it.

I'm hardly that tall either, 5'11", so must just be a shite screen. Daft question, but I guess that extra 'bump' is there to lift the air flow up and over the rider?

Maybe the Powerbronze one might work better. Need to wait till payday!

So do the DB screens take allot of the wind noise away?

I think I'm obsessed with wind noise, helmet noise, earplugs and tinnitus! I don't have many questions on bikes to ask!

DB's don't work so well on certain bikes. Maybe yours is one of them.

Anyone recommend a screen from F.Fabbri (if that's how you spell it)?. Just checked out a few pics of one on a SV and the 'bubble' looks far bigger than the one on the Suzuki screen. Might this help?

Is not pushing the wind over you?

The bubble could be to small. I imagine a larger one would help. But don't buy one because I said that. Laughing

Does the screen direct wind at you or over you? Is it clearing your head?
Google for some reviews. Thumbs Up

Ive heard conflicting reports and have been given advice from a supplier of these screens, and that was not to bother. Im not sure if it was just for my particular bike, which is a YZF750, but he assured me that not only can the turbulence be greater, that at speeds in fast corners, the bike will tend to push more, understeer. I must admit, it sounds logical, but Im not sure if hes correct. I bought a replacement standard one, albeit it smoked. aesthetically, I think the iridium take a lot of beating but I wont sacrifice ridability for cosmetics as its my neck thats on the chopping block, but hey, WTF do I know lol

The DB screen direct loads more air straight towards my head. My position on the bike appears to have no affect on how severe the wind noise is.

The strange thing is the standard screen, with no extra 'bump' made the airflow allot smoother.

I've got a skidmarx DB screen. It's not as pretty as some as there's quite a pronounced 'lip' between the bubbles. However it was relatively cheap compared to other brands.

I don't have a problem with turbulence unless I have an expanded tankbag on. Then it's a nightmare, feels like the wind is trying to bend my neck back.
