Just incase you are looking for a cheap cam, I have one of these and its quality is pretty good for the price - https://www.banggood.com/25mm-173-Ultra-wide-Lens-Mini-4K-Sports-Camera-WiFi-Ultra-HD-30M-Waterproof-Action-Camera-2_0-LCD-p-1103664.html?utmid=1295

Can't actually fault it, the quality is good, its same size as a GoPro and might be nice if you want a cheap cam mounted on your track bike or road bike Thumbs Up

Where's the catch? Surely there's something at that price range... how's the battery life? Interface? Features? I've got a GoPro but would perhaps get a second camera at some point for trackdays or 'blasts'

Believe thats '4K'

Looks like a 1080p upload has happened too - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umb4GcIIH68

Seems like a stellar chap.

I'm guessing inside it's a generic cheap Chinese cam. So as with Chinky bikes the quality control would be a bit of a gamble. Pity since I really need some new cams.

YOUR THPEEDINNG! Nice wheelie!

Anyway, the video itself looks really good, surprisingly good, might grab one when I need to call it into duty.

I don't actually want to open mine as the case is really well sealed, but can imagine its a fairly cheapo cam inside, but quality wise, I paid a little less with 'vouchers' and its worth the cash.

would these fit into go pro housings etc? How hard would this be to mount to a helmet?

Also, if you load both videos at 1080p, the one that is filmed in 1080p60 looks worse quality than the 4k one to me.

I'd have thought that being filmed at 1080p would increase the quality of each pixel a bit, being able to get more light per pixel, lower ISO etc etc. Maybe it has something to do with youtube's compression. Is it much different before compression?

Also, have you noticed any difference between 1080p30 and 1080p60 quality?
Shorter shutter times and more processing could potentially decrease the 1080p60s quality vs the 1080p30 video.

Appreciate the heads up and the vids ill have a look see if there are any vouchers or anything easy to find.

currently £38.03 although I presume it will change with currency changes. Postage is stated to take 7-12 days after shipping.

Here is the same one with some branding on for £33.49, and it should arrive in by the 6th of Jan

This review goes into more detail of the video quality. (Andoer but they are all similar IMO).
It's not a GoPro Laughing
But much cheepness
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QmmaInbQVxg

The pack of accessories alone is worth the price though - but not everything will interchange with GoPro - especially the case.

It's a good starter camera or 'sacrifice' camera to keep your good one safe.

Without going on youtube, are these good enough for commuting footage?

Also once the card is full, does it just loop or do I need to delete?

And finally how would I mount it onto the bike?

I am thinking of getting one and just leaving it on the bike (I don't leave the bike outside, its either in a parked garage at work or at home in the shed) and am wondering if this will do the trick.

thanks
