I have been biking for the grand total of 4 months, with 2 crashes to my name already. First one definitely wasn't my fault. Anyway I got a new bike, but I am nervous on it, not leaning over enough in the wet, braking very early and not going above 30 in anything less than perfect conditions! I'm being a proper shit bag basically! Any advice, or should I just get on and practice more?! |
You sound like a terrible rider then, or just a liar.
You can see oil/diesel because it is a very clear rainbow reflection on the road,regardless of water because it does not mix with water. Avoid it, or go through it straight while easing off the throttle.
Secondly, if you rear end a car, it is always your fault, no matter what. You must have a 2 second gap between the vehicle in front. If it's wet, you must have 4 seconds. If you're behind a big vehicle like a truck, keep pulling back until you can see his mirrors.
Maybe being a road user isn't for you I'm afraid to say. You're lucky to be relatively unscathed after 2 crashes. |
