Get better home security and then see about telling him to "FUCK OFF" in any language he does understand.
Job Jobbed, you aren't his IT tech for life now.

It is indeed accessibility Narrator voice settings, but I still vote for telling him to fuck off. Smile

My recommendation (not to sound like dick) is sell all your crappy 2nd hand shit no one wanted, stop being a thrifty SOB and buy something decent.

I try to live my life this way too, but what I don't need is 3-6 month down the line someone saying something I sold them is faulty. It's a risk buying second hand goods, I would never knowingly sell something faulty unless stating it was, and always provide any warranty info of available.

What I tend to do is meet the person somewhere public like a coffee shop (free wifi), a friend will arrive at the same time separately and monitor the situation in case the guy tries do do a runner. I will sit with the person make sure they can login connect whatever and once working leave. I don't like strangers knowing where I live but it may be my background, I do not really trust anyone. Coupled with the fact I'm in London (originally Africa, we're always looking over our shoulders).

Usually within the first couple of emails I can tell by language grammar spelling if it's someone I want to deal with or not. I've sold my phone yearly this way for about 7 years without issues. The most they will get is a secondary email address and a pay as you go number.

You have to protect yourself first. Sold as seen

I'm aware this all very cap'n hindsight and doesn't help much now, all I can say is try help him fix it, or risk it and tell him to do one. But next time you may consider meeting elsewhere. I find a free delivery within reason is helpful.

It should be the same on the Lynx as it is on a desktop.

I'm not running 8 anymore, but I think it's in the Control Panel under the Ease of Access option.

https://www.isunshare.com/windows-8/turn-on-and-turn-off-ease-of-access-center-in-windows-8.html

I *think* there's a button on the Windows log-in screen with some Ease of Access functions. If I'm right, then it's likely how it got turned on in the first place.

He should keep it on though. It might help improve his English.

Hello,

I have had the same problem, but with the 8" version. This happened the day my son got it and it was Christmas day.

If by ease of use, you mean everything is big and you can't run applications, then that what happend to me.

To fit it, I had a powered USB hub, that I connected a keyboard to, I had a little micro usb to full size usb already.

I then shut it down and then I turned it on, whilst holding down the left shift key (could have been right), the tablet, then came up with a recovery screen, that let me put it back to default.

I remember really struggling with this, I actually sobered up whilst doing this and it wasn't until 1am on boxing day I had a fix.

Every time I googled, I got Linux, ahhhhhhh
