I'm struggling to find any bike shops around me that stock Nolan helmets and I quite fancy a certain one.

Before I buy and find out it doesn't fit - anyone got one? Any good? Normal sizing, or generally small or big?

I don't have a potato head or anything.

What's so special about them except that Casey Stoner wears one? Smile

Garish helmets are gheys. Unless they're so bad they're funny. Like the fish one above. Top marks to anyone rocking those goldfish.

Nothing amazingly special, I just like the Chaz Davies rep.

I don't want a fishy helmet, I'm not from Portsmouth.

I've had a couple of Nolan lids. Both N90s which a flip up with the space to add a bluetooth thing with speakers.
I find it comfy, but as it's a flip up, it is quite noisy and quite heavy.
I've also got a Shoei, I much prefer this for the weight and noise, but it's a tad tight and a pain with ass with my glasses. Means I don't tend to wear it unless i'm on a longer ride.
If you passing Brisol, you're welcome to try it out.

I’ve got a Nolan N86 and for the price, it’s the best in it’s range by far. Really good fit for me, very comfortable. Ventilation is excellent and it’s light compared to Caberg helmets of similar price. Visor is great, with really good vision and the notches are situated just right. Comes with a pinlock which works great too.

Nolan N86 here to. Comfy and feels like a good bit of kit.

However it is quite noisey at faster speeds and the fitted pin lock gave up its usefulness a while ago.

Most annoying thing is the paint work has started to flake off on a small area near the chin. Guessing a stone has chipped it at some point.

But hasn't put me off the brand, would buy again.
