BCF BBQ 2017 4-5 August

OK chums, I said I'd do it (I was squiffy at the time but my word is my bond) so this thread is to agree the "when".

Once we know the "when" I can locate the "where" and other details. For consultation obviously, this isn't a dictatorship.......

The last two BCF BBQs were in early August, so I'm assuming people would be happy for it to be around the same time for 2017 but have included the last weekend in July.

Yes, I agree that an "any" option would have been a good idea, but I can't edit the poll. I'm also conscious that it way too early for anyone to definitely commit to a date, you're just expressing a preference at this stage.

End of July w/e is definately out for me, but either of the other two would be fine - providing no clashes with festival work (don't have the calendar for that yet) - and yes, I will come as long as I can get there sensibly.

OK, it's a narrow win for 5 & 6 August. I say narrow, but a majority is a majority, as seen with Brexit means Brexit. The people have spoken and must be heard.

So, I want to say, once and for all, this is the people's decision and the people's BBQ means the people's BBQ and it's going to happen over the weekend of 5 & 6 August 2017.

Its going to be a hard BBQ, not a soft BBQ. This makes finding a venue somewhat challenging.

When I'm back in the UK, (in a couple of weeks) I'll make enquiries based on earlier comments made about venues in the Peak District or somewhere fairly central.

So I'll be quiet for a while before presenting you lovely people with the venue options.
