A reply to Wave's earlier post about wearing undies being a safety issue.

I am a paintball marshal at holmbush paintball near Crawley, and I wear a t-shirt when its warm, another marshal wears a vest, so I see no danger in you wearing your underwear!

I would advise wearing a groin protector tho if you are just wearing underwear!!

But you're covered my employee liability insurance, everyone else is covered by public liability insurance, which is much harder to get, much more expensive and can be revoked faaaar to easily.
Most sites probably wont let you incase you actually get hurt.

You're generally looking at around £40 for the day and around 1000 paintballs.

Around here it's about £50 for 1000 paintballs, including lunch. Less for less paintballs.
Though that's a load cheaper than the place we went before, that did a maximum of 500 paintballs for £35 or so, then £6 per 100 after that!

Unfortunately the place I suggested earlier has closed down it seems... been taken over by another company, but they are redevolping the site, so have to look else where for now.

They were the ones that took over the local one.

Was considering either the High Wycombe or Basingstoke one.

The nearest on to Reading is Skirmish Lasham which is about 30 miles from Reading who charge £45 for full day with 1,000 paintballs. And for those wanting to save money you can do the day for just £10. Smile

The £10 price doesn't include any paintballs though : P

We had a guy come up paintballing a couple of months back, he ran and did a cammando role which caused his mask to fly off and he got shot in the eye by his best mate and girlfriend, oh... on and on his birthday I do beleive.

Moral: Tighten your mask correctly.

I'm certainly up for 9th of April at either Basigstoke or High Wycombe. Basingstoke looks like the better site (there is a pub close Wink). Either way, I will be taking a car from the Chippenham area and can offer seats from there - 3 if MrsHippy decides not to come.
How do these places stand on spectators, as it would be good if we could get some videoing done there for the BCF archives Cool

When I use to go airsofting aslong as you wear a mask you could spectate. You might have to pay walk on fee depends how tight they are.

I have had my leave pass approved by MrsHippy Cool
She may well come along as a spectator/photograper/videoer/general helping out person as well, but that depends on how she feels and the weather Confused
