Nope, you've got to wait the two years.

If you're near to turning 21 you're better off waiting till your birthday then doing the full test.

Also once you pass 21 you could still do the full test if you don't want to wait for your restriction to finish.

you can another test called accelerated access, which is for people already in their restriction period but aged 21 or over and want the restriction lifted.

Personally I'd either just de-restrict the bike because the chances of getting caught are minimal, or just sit it out, 33bhp is enough to break NSL, so there's no amazing hurry to go faster..

Accelerated access? Is that not called DAS?

I turn 21 in october and plan to get my restriction lifted then (there'll be 13 months still left on it then)

DAS is for people over 21 to allow them to ride any bike. Accelerated access is for people who are over 21 but have passed their restricted test and are still restricted to 33bhp and want to legally remove their restrictors.

They're still pretty much the same thing in training terms though, aren't they. No real difference....apart from the name (and their purpose)

Take it accelerated access is much cheaper (dont think I'll need any lessons myself before the test, I'm still the textbook rider when I want to be)
