Bike Shampoo

Any recommendations as my search function wont work, Just bought a bottle of Autoglym shampoo, two washes and still leaves dirt when bike dries, crap really, only a weeks worth of road muck on it, even bought new brushes.

The Autoglym shampoo is not supposed to be used on a bike crusted with road dirt. You're supposed to start with AutoGlym motorcycle degreaser, and then use the shampoo afterwards. If you don't do it this way, it'll just swirl the dirt around.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

I normally use this. It's just want you need to get rid of greasy muck flung from the chain, and that seems to accumulate on the bottom of the engine

My bike gets disgusting during my commute.
I first rinse with pressure washer gets most of the crap off, the spray Muc off or Autoglym motorcycle cleaner Agitate with a brush on wheels, engine,exhaust and underneath the bike. Leave for five minutes. Then rinse off.
Two buckets one with clean water one with Autoglym shampoo, wash one panel, then in the clean water and back in the wash bucket for each panel.

Rinse off
Dab dry
Spray Autoglym aqua wax while still wet, rub it round then buff off nice and shiny clean. Do this every week or every two weeks.

Every three months it gets washed, clay barred, polished and a hard wax applied or sealent.

Sometimes I use snow foam with my pressure washer which gets rid of loads of filth.

Buy 5L bottles of Muc off from ebay, if your're lucky 2 for £25 can be found. 2 parts water to 1 part muc off in a small garden pressure sprayer, mist bike and sip tea, don't let it dry. Chase dirty bits with more spray and a microfibre cloth (on bodywork) or a £2 tesco alloy wheel brush (frame, suspension, wheels) Rinse with water from low pressure hose or a large garden sprayer.

Fuchs off and other non-foming detergents are similar. Use whaterver you're not buying in tiny overpriced bottles.

I use autobright snowfoam. Spray it on with the pressure washer fitting, leave it for a few minutes and then wash off with clean water and a sponge.

i go to asdas jet wash , put a £1 in, use the shampoo jet , then put another £1 in, then rinse off , then when i get home i just grease it all up again
