Sorry im getting old and cynical Laughing

Im sure any of them would be good bikes tbh but i cant give a decent explanation because i was always to big to ride a 400cc bike. From the ones ive seen that friends have owned the rvf400 looks good but at the age they are getting to now i doubt your find a decent one. Might be worth picking up a newer 600cc, maybe a naked type rather than a sportbike? (have no knowledge of your laws or insurance prices). My first "big" bike was the zx6r in my profile pic but i paid loads in the first 2 years to get insurance.

Thumbs Up

what bike would you pick from the following - and why :

HONDA CBR 400 RR 1994 Km.: 25.000 color (Repsol Replica)

HONDA RVF 400 NC 35 1997 Km.: 34.000

I don't know why but falled in love with honda.. its either them or kawasaki or ducati.

Maby acceleration is somewhat important for me but its not everything, what i care about most is riding position, comfort, how well it handles turns - etc. Hope you guys are able to help me, afterall this is the place I seem most proffesional anwsers so far on the web - and thats why i decided to make a profile here. Thx.

EDIT : oh yea, the transmission and motor in general is also important for me' i don't want something that has the rumor of getting worn out to quick. hope you know what i mean haha... that english Very Happy

HTH.

The answer is "none of the above".

Their riding position is "race crouch", they're all ancient bikes that you'd have to really, really actively want. If you're asking which one to get, then you're not in that demographic.

So acient bikes don't work anymore? here in Denmark i se alot of these types of bikes, maby because a new bike is REALLY expensive, even theese bikes are really expensive. But if it runs fine, it looks fine, it works fine in every way' is it still not a good idea to buy one then ?`

The thing is i actually don't like how modern bikes looks. At all.

I think 400ccm is a okay choice for a beginner like me' if i go over 600ccm i only semyself as a splatter on the road lol.

No lol' I'm asking because i really want a bike similar to does ones' but can't pick what is the best choice. And ofc I can buy one of these wihtout being in that demographic Laughing

one of the bikes as only 5800 km on its back. thats not alot

Sounds like you have answered your own question tbh, if i had to pick one of the 3 i would go for the cbr as the milage isnt horrible for the age but it depends if its genuine.
The low milage one has the same issue, great its low milage but you should keep in mind milage that low on a bike of that age isnt always a good thing as companants can dry out/corrode if they arnt used.

Thumbs Up

the main problem with those bikes is going to people who had one 20 years ago and have gone all rose tint and forgetful about the truth.
nice ones will cost an arm and a leg and require focused upkeep.
rough ones could turn into a money pit.

Getting combative about something that I didn't say shows that you're not interested in any opinion that contradicts the decision that you've already made.

Cognitive dissonance - the voluble killer.

Best of luck.

you say comfort is an issue, unless you are a shortarse i doubt comfort is a word people use on those bikes.
i ride a modern bike that is plug ugly(s1000r) you cant see it when you ride it.
and for me i think its epic, great engine, great brakes and it turns like a fly.

have you ridden any of the bikes in your list?
if i were you i would find a bike you like to ride, what it looks like is the other guys problem.

I am not a very tall guy, im 1.79 tall, I do often hear people talk about these bikes being uncomfortable, but still also guys talking some of em being really bad, and some not so bad' no i have never tried to ride a spotsbike actually, only "real bike" i ever tried was a honda nighthawk (not a type of bike i would like to ride on in the future, simply because of the looks of it and nothing else lol) - other than that i have mostly ride on dirt bikes or bigger crossers' or even trimmed/ tuned scooters LOL Laughing

Yea but i would like to have a bike i find as a treat to my eyes also as i never owned a vehcile i liked to look at before lol. Always ugly machines, and that is one of the reasons i go after theese bikes' ofc also because of the engine' and they are fun to ride.

You joined this forum and posted links to 3 specific 400cc bikes advertised on one specific dealer's website, you said your main criteria were riding position and comfort, and asked whether these bikes had a comfortable riding position. When you were told they didn't, as they are racing-type performance-oriented bikes not comfortable except for short people, you didn't accept this. When others told you there could be mechanical/functional issues to look at with these old bikes unless they are very low mileage, you didn't accept that either.

What it boils down to is that a couple of posters have taken you at face value as you insisted, and then hinted that maybe these bikes aren't such a good choice for a beginner. But you're not having any of that. You just insist, 'pick one for me'.

That's not all you insist upon. You also insist:

1) This is a 'very trusted' dealer.
2) These particular bikes 'run fine, look fine and work fine in every way'.
3) These particular bikes are 'fun to ride'.
4) You don't intend to stay here for long.

Of course, you would be mortified if anyone were to suggest you had any connection with the motorcycle dealer in question. Yours is a strictly honorable enquiry...

Lol. where do you se me not accepting that these bikes can be hell to ride when it comes to comfortable ? I think you are missunderstanding what im writing buddy. And with the milage, i did not accept it because some of em has low milage ? I can't accept everything you guys say without asking questions, are you dumb sir ?

I did not say "pick one for me" lol Very Happy You sound pretty delusional' like you are making up your own reality. I could be my spelling that makes you misunderstand alot - and if so its fair enough.

Again you are making stuff up, i asked questions, i did not insist' again you are making up your own reality.

Ofc im not gonna stay here for long' some of you guys sound like the average banditos type from my local area lol. Not a thing to be proud of.

What ? you think i link on a uk site to sell bikes from Denmark ? get the hell out of here lol - stop being paranoide.

You did not understand what I mean with that ? well then ask instead makin up what you think i mean Very Happy That means' that i want to know if this bikes are some of the really terrible ones when it comes to comfortable, not that i try to defend its gonna be a joy to ride... lol... some people.
