My RXS exhaust has a Number of pin holes. I'm planning one having a bash at welding them.

I own Lidl's finest Arc Welder. I've had it years and never plugged it in. Laughing

I have an even more knackered exhaust to practice on I was just after tips.

I know I have to grind the chrome off before welding. Do I need special rods? I was just going to use the ones I got with it.

Any tips? My plan was to start on low power with the test and work up till it seems good.

Yeah - Arc is shit for thin materials. You're more likely to blow bigger holes in it than fix anything.

Use a MIG welder running Stainless wire and Argon gas ,works a treat and the welds won't rust!
