Have you tried replacing the flux capacitor?

Hello. Welcome and goodbye.

Ok, I'll jump in, only coz i know the inforad software is junk.
Whenever mine has played up, disconnect, close the manager then start again.
If you haven't got a green tick on the first tab, un- select the database then select it again. Then leave it alone, might take a while...

I'm starting to get fed up with mine. The number of cameras removed 2 years ago that it still warns for is a right PITA.

Oh, and welcome... Rolling Eyes

Hi and thanks Very Happy

The problem appears to be with the unit that you update - does this have a flux capacitor? After I plug it in and start up the Inforad updater (version 3.6) it finds the unit, does various checks - the last message it displays is 'testing database in progress' after which it comes up with ‘in order to not creating a possible usb conflict, it is highly advised to close INFORAD MANAGER before disconnect your INFORAD unit from your PC’ (sic). At point it goes back to the 'start' menu and the process repeats.

I have had this happen before and was told by Inforad that it was a faulty unit however yesterday, it initially started to update, then froze, and then this particular problem occurred when I reopened the app and tried again. I am therefore sure it must be because the internal database has become corrupt.

Thank you Very Happy

I guess you get what you pay for and as there is no monthly fee the camera updates are on a 'reasonable endeavours' basis. I still like the unit as it is unobtrusive and of course cheap to buy - I also have the 4e in my car (which doesn't seem to have the same update problems)
