I've got a Kawasaki GT 750 that i want to flog.
Ideal commuter / winter hack / courier bike (This one was never couriered)
Almost indestructable engine
Shaft driven (no worries about chain adjustment)
A-reg
55k miles
Very Good mechanically
Cosmeticly a bit tatty.
Anybody fancy making me an offer?

Have a look on Biketrader, MCN, Freeads, Loot, or Adtrader for comparable bikes to yours, (age, mileage, condition etc) to see what price they are asking. Remember to price it about 10% above what you want to get for it to allow for haggling. Also, consult the Biketrader magazine, released on Wednesdays? for similar bikes again. There are also several selling/ buying tips available in various magazines and fora around the place.
The best advice I would give is to clean it up to the best level of cleanliness it has ever been, give it a damned good polish, for perhaps an hours work, you could just convince that buyer to hand over that extra £100. Filling the tank with fuel, greasing everything that needs to be greased, making sure that nothing needs urgently doing (bulbs or cables needing replacing for example), and for a few pounds spent on these cheap repairs and courtesies could sway the buyer in your favour.
Also, having all the vehicle documents ( MOTs, servicing certificates, receipts etc) neat and tidy in a folder will help give a better impression of how you've looked after the bike.
Oh, and don't forget to offer them a drink!
