NExt time you do it click whenever you see anyone on the pavement, any sideroads, any buses, and cyclists, any streetsigns and any pubs - yes, pubs are a hazard (drunk people)

Book it again. Best way to get over it is to do it again

Edit: And schools - the hardest one is the motorway one

I am sure this has been mentioned somewhere else but according to a driving examiner I drink with:

You get points for spotting developing hazards but it has to be a hazard rather than a potential hazard. Give them all three clicks, one as you spot the potential hazard, another when it is obviously a hazard and a third when the car on the screen reacts to the hazard just to make sure. If it turns out not to be a hazard, leave it where you were. So for example:

You see a car approaching a junction with a side road, he might pull out on you so give it a click. If he stops, leave it at that. If he crosses the line at the junction, give it a second click, when the car in the video starts to brake or swerve, give it a third.

Here's what gets me, say you give them all 3 clicks, which click is scored? Does it score the first one giving you maximum points, or the 3rd giving you very few, because the way these cars are driven is very exagerated in these clips, i.e braking late instead of just backing off early...

In my test I found it very hard to just click when I first saw it, and then not click again for the fear of not getting any marks.

i bought this cd for a tenner. it has both theory advice, the questions and the hazard. its a right bitch. it says in information that even most of the instructors failed, mainly coz they clicked before the hazard actually developed. i think its a load of crap, honestly, but it has to be done. i did this cd, it suggests ways people fail (clicking too early, etc) you actually have to click like an idiot to 'overclick', so dont be too scared. when a hazard developed i clicked a few times (you have to get it right in the ideal time frame thingy to get points, counted down from 5 until the last crash moment like) just to be sure. its a right pain but all u can do it practice and keep your eyes glued.
good luck for next time!

I think the system would make more sense so that you click and say the hazard you see out loud at the same time, so the examiners know that you have definatley spotted it.

i thought that if you clicked more than on the atual hazard you failed that clip so you can click as much as you want as long as you dont over do it ?

The Hazard perception test is crap, don't worry about it, practce more, click more and retake it as soon as you can, .......and try to remembe the clips you've seen already, that'll help next time Wink
