So my front tyre is starting to look a bit pointy, is this normal?

I guess its something to do with the different compounds across the profile but its not something I have noticed on any of my bikes before. I will be checking the tyre pressures when I get home but I was wondering if this is normal like the squaring off of the rear on a commuter.

Cheers

Nathan

Spooky but correct, so this happens to them then?

Edit: Ok bit of googlng and I see it is, any recommendations for replacement, BT023 or somethings else? I think I have done around 8k on the current one so not too bad.

My Divvy900 came with a BT021 on the front, that did that (as they do). Changed to BT023, I typically got 16K miles out of them on the front, 10K on the back.

if it helps... took delivery of a BT023 today for the front... best price I could find was from mytyres.co.uk about £66 delivered if I remember right.

tried oponeo, blackcircles, ebay yaddayadda - nowhere was cheaper

Yeah, its a 50p underneath basically Laughing Never round.

Replace for whatever you like, BT023, PR3, anything sensible will be a million worlds away from the 021.

Fucksticks.
They didn't deliver a bt023, they delivered a bt021. Cnuts.

Apart from a couple of quid difference, there that much difference in the tyre?

Send it back.

OP - It's relatively common, the PR2 on the front of my ZX6 did the same. Replaced it with a Pilot Power 3.

Same thing happened on my BT021s - then I upgraded to BT30s and it happened (a bit) less.

Changed to PR4s and never looked back. Loads better.
