barrow to bradford run

Well planning on traveling up to bradford via A-roads (l-plates )

a rough guide i got from a online route finder.

From LA14 5ED,Barrow?In?Furness
To BD10 8BE,eccleshill
Distance 88.1 miles
Time 2 hr 10 min

Im basically needing advise on what to take with me, ill have a tank bag and a rucksack both of a decent size, a small compartment under the seat for waterproofs ect, and obviously pockets in jackets.
what sort of things should i take for the bike, and what should i take for me, as we both need to keep going Razz

It's 90 miles which is one petrol stop if that so you're not needing to take anything special, I'd not take any other than phone, wallet and waterproofs if the weather is looking dodgy. Make sure you have sufficent two stroke oil in the bike.

If on any trip further than about 30-40 miles I almost always take a phone, proper toolkit inc. socket set and spanners suitable for chain tensioning/ wheel changing, camera, paper and pen(cil) in an easy to reach pocket, a dirty rag or two, WD40 and chain lube.

In extreme situations (if I've my bag tied down to the bike rather than carrying it) I tend to take my footpump and torch too. I've a thermos flask somewhere on a shopping list too. In those situations I also normally have a change or two of clothes (eg going home for a few days) and plenty of dry socks.

Never met another biker in need of assistance, and no doubt if I do I'll be bound to only have my phone on me rather than the rest of the kit, but still I hope to be of use if needs be.
