 |
|
Hello guys n gals
Im new here so firstly.. hiya
Ive just bought my first road bike project which is a 2002 nsr 125 foxeye.
Previous owner had bought it for a donnor bike for his so has no fairings. Lights and a pretty shagged loom as well as having no forks or wheels
Basically the frame. Subframe. Swingarm. Tank. And engine (which previous owner told me the barrel was worn but i can only see a small nick on exhaust port bridge and some scaring the bottom end seems fine theres a litle sqeak when you first turn it from waterpump side but conrod has no play up dwn or side to side.
First up iI have been sourcing parts and will soon have loom complete with cdi servo and power valve (c1626) which I belive is the unrestricted cdi
Also I have sourced the forks and rims along with a full fairing set which need minor work and a repray but im redoing the whole bike from the floor up anyhow.
Price so far isnt bad as I paid £150 for the project
Wheels, cdi, servo and powervalve of ebay £240
Forks, headlight, loom £200
Full fairings £205
795 and its basically a complete bike plus what its gunna cost to rebuild and paint up nice (thinking black and yellow) probably gunna end up around the 1000 mark and as Im planning never to sell it,
Not too bad in my own eyes
Anyways ill be updating and puting up as many photos as possible as I go about buolding it back up as im sure most of you lot have seen plenty of these in bits before lol
Thanks for reading

You can get the manual on this site, it's for the JC20 (the older model) but most of it is the same. Very handy, especially the start for routing cable diagrams, the loom is a mess. Glad someone watches them of it helps, also I made a mistake in the first video, the gear oil should be regular 10w40 not 2 stroke as we'll. Took me ages of sanding and prepping and plastic welding The fairings to get it right but well worth it, sad I have to sell it on I'd also recommend reading "A 2Stroke Tuners Manual" very handy for an engine rebuild.
Best of look with the NSR, I'll stay posted |

Just a quick update on my build my ecu servo and powervalve motor came yesterday so just got to get the power valve unit tht sits on the cylinder
Rims have also arrived n in better condition than I first thought so other than tyres new valves and new disks there good
Complete new locks kit came today genuine honda parts
Also going to be paying for forks n yokes. Front head light amd a new loom this friday after finding a nice person breaking a nsr on facebook she agreed to save allparts I needed that she still had and save them til I have the money so after ordering the above parts shes also got a full set of fairings waiting for me
Good to know genuine ppl still exist
Next couple of weeks ill be assemblying to check if anything else is missing from the bike and ordering whats needed and cleaning and repainting other parts
Iv also started stripping the bottom end ready for new bearings and seals
Currently im painting the suframe (was rusty as sh**e) rust treated and silver hammerite
