"Spy" shots and that.
They already do leccy off-roaders, so this is actually pretty plausible.
Looks like it might even have gears and conventional controls rather than scootay style everything-on-the-bars.
On the downside, they've retained all the parts that go wrong with the mini-Dukes. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Not only does it have a large radiator on the right hand side, suggesting that KTM is using a liquid-cooled motor and perhaps also cooling the batteries with water
Water cooled batteries
The only liquid cooled batteries I have worked with were huge bastard things on a ship that were used as storage/buffer for a turbo electric ship. They were immense and the circuits horrendously complicated.
I presume they are much more simple in this case? ____________________ Triumph Trophy Launch Edition |

Near silent motorcycles??? What could possibly go wrong.
In my mind it's a bit like alcohol free beer. Smells like beer, looks like beer, tastes like not beer. The noise of bikes is totally
part of the experience IMO. ____________________ Currently enjoying products from Ford, Mazda and Yamaha

From what I've heard/read cooling's one of the major (performance) issues to overcome with electric bikes.

They'd need a sound system to blast out synthesised engine noise, like you get in some cars. |
