This happened last year:

I got £2800ish (I forget the exact amount) for my old CBR.

I've been made an offer of £2400 after various legal fees.

I injured my Achilles tendon meaning it hurt to walk for a while and my ankle feels a bit loose at times. The Mrs says it will be like this pretty much for the rest of my life.

OTOH my insurance seems to have increased ten fold from £60 to £600 Shocked

So it's taken a year. I wasn't badly hurt and I can draw a line under this annoyance.

Yay or nay?

Unfortunately yes you get a little bit of money but you carry the injury forever Sad What did your solicitor say? If you refuse you might get a better offer, or you might end up going to court where you play the Part 36 game (which isn't as fun as it sounds).

Not sure what the question is...

But re above. The idea of insurance is to put you back where you were, should it never have happened....

ie, claim the difference off the 3rd party Wink

It wasn't your fault was it? Why were any legal fees deducted? The other driver should be paying those plus compo for your injuries.

I believe they take up to 25% now (depending on the 'deal').
