Gsx 750 inazuma idles on 3 runs on 4

Had problems last summer with bike running on 3 cylinders when low rpm but when caning the bike it starts running on 4 again.

When idling , cylinder 4 stays cool I can hold my hand over the down pipe where as the other 3 are too hot to touch . If it's idling or I'm just tootling about that cylinder just won't get warm unless the bikes been ragged like mad.

It's just been serviced , new plugs , oil filters etc . I've just put 2 new coil packs with new ht leads on , all the plugs are sparking and all the float bowls are full of fuel . Carbs have been stripped and cleaned about 4 times since last year now .

I'm not a master mechanic but what would you advise my next step be ? I thought either carbs balancing or maybe a compression test and valve clearance check ?

No4 carb needs servicing most likely. If you know someone with a compression tester you could check that first since it's easy but my bet is it's just a carb.

Check the carbs balance. If it's off, then there is your culprit, if it's not, then it's time to take things apart.

Not entirely sure but I think carbs have separate fuel feeds for low to mid range RPM's and High RPM's. Probably low to mid (pilot jet?) is gunked or something. Those engines are pretty bullet proof, had an inazuma for a while, absolutely problems free, unlike my '00 R6..
