'97 gpz 500s. On the early versions it was a bog standard spindle and nut. On mine the tool to remove the front wheel requires what appears to be a large Allan Key! Anyone know the correct tool, and size to use please?

Thnx.

Think you need one of these:

19mm is one hell of a bolt. Mine takes a 14mm I think.

However, I googled this:

Quote:
gpz 500 front wheel allen key

And this was the first result:

Quote:
12mm allen wrenches or sockets

Yes huge allen key.

Or a long bolt with a 12mm head bent into an L-shape.

Or a short bolt with a 12mm head and two nuts. Tighten the bolts together onto the shaft and use them to undo the spindle with a spanner on.

Sump plug removal tool looks similar to the thing that people appear to be buying as an axle removal tool, just it costs a couple of quid in Halfords.
Well, it cost a couple of quid when I bought one about 15 years ago. May be more now.
