WONDERING IF ANY OF YOU GUYS COULD GIVE INFO ON THE SMOKIN JOE'S PAINT JOB ON MY NC30. ARE THEY A LIMITED EDITION/RACE REP etc any info would be great cheers Thumbs Up Karma

hiya mate,
ive got a feeling they had a phase of doing a smoking joes reps and a castrol reps in the early 90's. there not that common but look really smart.

It's not a standard or limited edition scheme, that I'm pretty sure of? Just a lot of people have had them custom painted in those colours.

are you sure craig, ive got a feeling that it is an original because if you look at my bikes V5 it was originally registered as a castrol rep.

Shouldn't be! Confused AFAIK that bikes always been red/black!

I'm pretty sure they didn't do standard race reps of the Nc anyway, sure it's just aftermarket paint. I may be wrong, best ask on 400greybike, but I was pretty sure they didn't run those schemes as standard.

Loz, your VFR might be listed as castrol, as it was imported so may have been castrol when imported so when registered then it was down as castrol, then bodywork changed to the current red/black.

Btw, have you heard from Simon lately? He seems to have dissapeared off the planet Crying or Very sad Last I heard, he's got an MV Augusta and the RS track bike Exclamation but he's never on MSN and hasn't replied to my e-mails.

p.s. we gotta meet up for a rideout again soon mate! Smile

nah mate I havent heard from him at all. ed was trying to contact him aswell. yeah i knew he had the MV but havent really spoken to him since last summer.
I think your right about the changing of fairing on my bike but when my dad did a check on it at work it originally came back as a castrol rep.

yeah mate have a look on www.400greybike.co.uk and ask on there. someone will be able to tell you for sure.
