ybr125 exhaust

I'm new too this but after some advice my son bought his first bike a ybr125ed 09 plate some pillock pulled out on him sending him hitting the tarmac the guy never stooped he bent the front end which cost him just over £550 to repair now he's skint his exhaust has split temporary fixed with gun gum bandage he wants a new exhaust but money is tight at the moment the 1 on his has a breather tube been told we can block the tube and put a standard exhaust on is it possible he saw a cheap one on ebay
