May has been running scared from any kind of confrontation. Her two key civil servants keep her insulated from any kind of challenging views or unpleasant information. It's far from surprising that she'd be wobbly. ____________________ Bikes: S1000R, SH350; Exes: Vity 125, PS125, YBR125, ER6f, VFR800, Brutale 920, CB600F, SH300x4

Couldn't be bothered, no comedy value!
Would have watched it had it been the Abbotopotamus and Boris, would have been a laugh a minute, before I put a brick through the TV screen!
Was Mother Theresa doing her usual Crusty the clown impression, randomly waving her arms around, for no particular reason?
Let me guess, they didn't know what the questions were going to be beforehand.
Totally pointless TV! ____________________ "Everybody needs money, that's why they call it money!" |

The first audience question for Theresa May was from a copper, reading from his cue card like a kid doing his first ever reading in front of the class.
100% pre-determined questions. |

James O'Brien Mc shoutyface but not a toilet licker...
I don't know. I always liked Corbyn, and the irritating certainty people assert all his policies are economic suicide infuriate me.
Austerity is clearly not working, and the dismantling of every public sector service is clearly not helping.
I don't know, a socialist in charge of the social party...
One interesting point he (JC) made once though, is if you think of what makes you proud to be British... leaving aside the industrial revolution and 20th Century warfare... what do you have? The NHS, normally. It's a joke now, but just think what it has done for all of us.
I've lived in lots of socialist countries, and the healthcare is always damn near free... even for the working class.
Could you imagine how much the American system must suck?
The problem we've got though, is the whole world is in debt. Western countries especially. The original game doesn't seem to be working long term.
So maybe, just possible... Something a bit different might help?
The Yanks are kicking themselves that they let Hilary Clinton muscle Sanders out of the race, and then got left with Trump.
We still have Sanders ____________________ Top cat

May is a two faced flip flipping political lightweight, as is becoming more apparent every day.
Corbyn is a conviction politician who comes across as resolute and reasonable.
Unfortunately, his actual policies are insane and unworkable.
Since Sharia has no intention of delivering Brexit or stopping the benefits-seeker swarm anyway, here's to 5 years of a squabbling paralysed minority coalition government. The Dutchies are providing a great model for that at the moment. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

When I won my scholarship to spend a year in China, I had to get various health checks done in order for my visa to be granted. Because the checks were non-essential, I had to pay for them via an NHS doctor. In the end I paid about £120 to have a bloke put a stethoscope on my chest, shine a light in my ear and put his hand on my bollocks.
Then I went to India for summer. I decided I would fly directly to China from India. This meant I had to get my health checks done again because I was arriving from a different port.
I went to a local hospital, where they gave me a proper health check with all the bells and whistles, an ECG, chest X-ray, blood test, and then even an echocardiogram because my bloods showed low potassium. I was definitely a huge burden on the Indian health service. The process took about 6 days from start to finish, and was highly efficient. Instead being given an appointment, you just arrived on a day of your choosing and got in a queue for whatever service you had been prescribed. It was basically production-line healthcare and it worked. Afterwards I had to get an official stamp so the Chinese visa people would know it was genuine. I found a head doctor bloke who sorted the paperwork for me and then, as a foreigner who'd just abused tons of Indian state healthcare, I asked where or how I should pay for it. He pulled a face that looked almost offended, then told me it was free.
If India with it's 1.3 billion population and rampant poverty can do it for a foreigner, I'm pretty sure the UK can do it for its natives at the very least.
The fact I paid £120 for a British doctor to touch my balls and shine a light in my eye speaks volumes of the way things could go if privatisation becomes any more of an agenda. |

He didn't even sound happy about how it ended.
It is 1.3 billion population what?
How much of India's 1.3 billion population what have access to that standard of health care? ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Country would go down the toilet if it was run by momentum, the SWP and the other extremists who pull Jeremy's strings. Unlimited immigration especially from the Middle East, remain in the EU, scrap Trident, huge increase in foreign aid, and big tax hikes.
The one question I have for Jeremy is what would he do if his "costed" manifesto turns out to have a few errors in it because he can't raise enough revenue to pay for his vast spending. Is it going to be:
1) Cuts
2) Tax increases
3) More debt
His manifesto, much like that of the Greens and the SNP, clearly doesn't add up and the economy will tank if he gets in making the pie even smaller. It's like with Scottish independence, they would gain it on the back of cuts, but the first act of the SNP would have to be the equivalent of abolishing the Scottish NHS to make up some of the shortfall.

Look at Scotchland, which is currently run by the Scotch-o-Socialist Workers Party in all but name.
They've just promised an extra £118 billion in "investment" in public services, a £10 minimum wage, more and more free stuff for everyone, paid for by... taxing the English, I guess.
Meanwhile, Scotch education standards are plummeting, tax revenues (particularly business rates) are falling, the roads are disintegrating faster than Sharia's Brexit pledges, and it is indeed all funded by largesse from London.
InB4 Percy's hilarious link to the chart showing socialists benefiting from budgets based on the conditions created by the previous administration, then they run the place into the ground and hand the keys to the grown ups again, laughing all the way. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

I thought Corbyn came across very well, particularly where he was being very clear (for a politician) that although he doesn't personally agree with everything in the manifesto, he will still do it. Very clear recognition that the job he's going for is prime minister, not dictator-for-life.
I liked it when we had a coalition, because it weeded out the more extreme fringe opinions from both parties and forced them to deliver policies they could broadly agree on - which ends up being a policy which is better for the majority of the people in the country, but often worse, or not as good as it could be, for the die-hard supporters of the party(ies) in power.
Corbyn would be up against similar pressure within his own party. Most of the MPs don't like him, so any policy would be open to a larger degree of discussion and negotiation inside the party before making it into the house for debate. This is the opposite of the top-down control used in the Blair/Brown years, which didn't work too well and led to lots of unpopular ideas that had to be canned (ID cards, road charging).
I do also prefer his Brexit stance, which in a nutshell is soft rather than hard. He looks like a more considered and humble negotiator, which looks like the right position when you are the underdog and don't want to piss off the person you're negotiating with.
For the first time in my life, I'm considering voting labour. This is concerning to me, I grew up under Blair/Brown and spent the first years of my working life under them. How fucked up have politics become for me to consider voting for them. |

But this is the crux of it. Labour can promise what they like in the manifesto, affordable or not. Because unless a miracle happens, not enough of the voting public would trust him to run a knitting club, let alone a country, meaning they will never have to be held on the manifesto promises. ____________________ TZR250 2MA road, TZR250 1KT road, TZR250 2MA race, TDR250, YZF-750R Boost colours.

I doubt you could get a fag packet (generic branding) between a typical 2017 Tory, Labour or LibDem MP in terms of substantive policies.
They're by and large lefty-middly wishy-washy happy-clappy slimy careerists. The exceptions are notable because they are exceptional.
So we're all aware, both Tory and Labour HQs have declared "emergency rules" and imposed candidates on constituencies, in an end run around that pesky inconvenient democracy.
Sharia is parachuting in pro-EU open borders Remoaners, Labour (NEC, not Corbyn) is selecting... pro-EU open borders Remoaners. The LibDems (and Greens and SNP) are entirely pro-EU open borders Remoaners.
So you can vote UKIP, if you're very lucky you might have a choice of one of the shrinking number of Brexiteer Tories or Labourites, or you can select from any of the Tweedle Dums and Tweedle Dees in a rainbow of rosettes - it won't matter who you pick. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
