I have put the GPZ back together and got her running and just need two jobs doing for the mot test, frame mounted indicators at the front (1 of the originals got smashed when the original fairing fell apart) as I don't want to mount on the fairing and secondly what I am asking for advice on here for is The rear brake pedal, It had snapped at the weld leaving just a stub instead of the foot-push, can this be welded and a new piece put on or has the entire pedal got to be renewed? I did look at doing this but one of the bolts into the frame has stripped and it looked like I would have to drop the exhaust and other things off which I didn't want to attempt.

Can't really imagine how the broken part could be welded back on to be honest. It's quite a confined area down there and I'm not sure what type of metal/alloy it's made from... Any pics?

I'll check mine ('97 model) - as I think the lever is the same design across model variations - and have a wee think about options.
