Hiya, looking at road legal monkey bikes for next winter, bit early I know and I stumbled upon these on eBay, what are they like? What do you reckon reliability will be like?

hmmm, good point. I just want it as a quick run around town instead of having to wait for the Bandit to warm up etc etc, just to fall off on ice and crack the fairing. ____________________ Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it. Those things look well fun!
Would be interesting finding a company to insure them with.
Chances are, every charver in town will be after you, probably do whatever they could to have if off you. If you want to be getting a daft little runaround, go for something cheap like an old DT50/125, XL125 and the such, I got a CG125 off ebay for £210 and thats my winter/bad weather transport. Go for around £350 as they're about 20 year old but would still do their job. Plus, you wouldnt be too bothered if it was dropped in the snow.
Of course, if you want a monkey bike, go for it! They look fab, that one looks a lot like the X-Sport. Personally, I'd be too worried about being hit by a car to dare use one seriously on the roads. ____________________ Aprilia RSV Mille R Edwards Replica - Aprilia RS250 - Suzuki GSXR600 Supersport Race Bike |
