Picked myself up this bike knowing it would need a restrictor fitten. Only thing is the guy at the garage said if i supply my own restrictor kit it will be ALOT cheaper.... i dont know what im looking for Confused seen one on ebay for £60 with quick delivery but dont know if it will work? any advice appreciated

You're on about a "Kickstart Engineering" kit, right? Two washers and a piece of paper.

Will it work? Who knows. I've never heard of anyone getting their bike dynoed after it's been crippled. Given the number of bikes that vendor offers kits for, I would be astonished if he's actually tested his kits on all of them.

In most cases, the piece of paper will be what matters. I can send you a copy of an old FI 25kW "certificate", which is just a load of bollocks with a logo on it, if you fancy your chances.

Yeah it's just incase my bike ever gets inspected don't want my insurance to be void as I've got A2 license, maybe I'm just being paranoid but would rather get it fitted and be safe lol just don't know what I'm supposed to be buying

You worry too much.
No one cared I didn't have a 33bhp restrictor kit in my bikes for 2 years and one of those was written off when someone drove into me.
I would get a piece of paper saying it's restricted and just don't draw attention to yourself.

Your right, and just plead stupidity that I got the form with the bike when I bought it. Where would I get a "certificate" then?
