Hello,

Strange question, does anyone know when the rear end of the GSXR600 changed?

I bought an L0 2011 600 and it has what i would describe as a flush rear end (without the black bits by the light) just wondering when this changed? Looks more like a K series rear end. Just wondering if it was changed at some point or if there was a cross over between series.

Can you describe it using 1,000 more words, or one picture.

well, if you were to... say, google gsxr600 L0

you might see images with no "black bits" if you knew what you were looking for? (search L1 and there are "black bits") and wikipedia would suggest L0 was 2010 model and L1 the first 2011 model

edit: I suggest you can draw your own conclusion(s)

Well been researching. L0 is 2011, However in 2011 at somepoint the L1 came out as well which is slightly different, including a bit more than the bodywork.

My bike is definitely and L0 and it was manufactured in 2011.

Black bits or no black bits, that is the question.

The answer, my friends, is blowing in the wind (and google)
