Well, obviously not like that!

So, off we go on a jolly old ride, a couple of hours later, we're circling a multi traffic light controlled roundabout (bet you can guess what happens next..)

Light in front of me changes from green.

I thinks "We won't get both bikes through, I'll stop"

She thinks "Better gun it to make it through the lights"

As a result, she canes into my back wheel, which launches me off the back of the bike, and sends it of for a little journey on it's own. Fortunately, the traffic entering the roundabout hadn't started to move, so no second collision.

She ends up trapped under her bike.

It was quite a shock I can tell you!

Damage to her Daytona: scratched fairing, bent exhaust, snapped rear brake lever (somehow, the forks didn't twist or bend and the bike was rideable).

Damage to her: A VERY bruised twat Laughing Bruised wrists, bruised leg.

Damage to the Aprilia: Snapped rear brake level, wing mirror, all rhs crash bungs, scratched exhaust, scratched nose fairing, bar end etc.

Damage to me: None.

Fair play to her though, after much tears and apologies, she woman'd the fuck up and rode the two hours home Thumbs Up

The good news is, the liability won't be an issue for the insurance.

The better news is, I now have a get out of jail free for literally ANYTHING I do wrong for the foreseeable future Twisted Evil

Must count as the most embarrassing accident ever!

And that's why I always followed my wife when she rode Laughing

Seriously, it could have been a lot worse with both injuries and damage so you did OK, if you can do OK from a crash.

Too true! it was fortunate she hit square in the back wheel and didn't slide down the side of the bike. I suspect that would have hurt both of us a lot more!

I foresee that expiring tonight, or sooner if you don't get the dishes done.

Abuse it while you can. Turn about seems fair play.

Are you both with the same insurance company? (I'm assuming you are)...

I think you should both contact the insurance company separately and claim it was each others fault and get their knickers in a twist for amusement purposes!

Hmm, the second report of BCF genital injury in 2 days. Does anyone here wear downstairs armour? Is it even available (apart from cricket 'boxes' etc).

I'm not sure, but I once saw a pic (on here probably) of a distinctly testicular shaped dent in a fuel tank after a rear end shunt. Makes your eyes water just thinking about it! Sick

I'm not sure wearing a cup on a bike would be a very comfortable solution though.. Thinking

You'd be surprised how painful a cricket ball in the nads is, even wearing a box. I used to play a few years ago and was wicket keeper. I got hit once and believe me, although it saved me from eye-watering pain, it wasn't completely painless. Still ended up with bruising.

Top tip for convoy riding: ride staggered, one a bit nearer the kerb, one a bit nearer the white line. Then she'd have missed you Wink

In the meantime, I guess with her front bottom out of order for a bit, you'll be having to return the topic title favour Smile
Too soon?

Fucking hell! ...your bollocks must have been huge, even before the swelling. Shocked

I have to assume with an impact crater like that, a cup would do nobody any good anyway.

On the brightside, the tank pad may be salvagable. Thumbs Up

This was a previous incident and on a different bike to the latest bollocks incident.

In reality, I think this must have been my knee or head that did this.

I believe the good book says something about eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth, implying that you owe her a good rear ending that results in severely bruising your balls. 🤔

Damage to bikes sucks but at least both of you got off lightly. (Arnica cream is great for bruising.)

Not as fun as it sounds, I can assure you. But indeed, make sure you stop before rupturing, a whole new world of pain ensues.

I was rather fortunate when I did this. It's one of the reasons why I always ride staggered so that if I am looking to the right or left at a give way and the geezer in front stops, it shouldn't be a full impact, just a glancing blow if anything.

Always ride for you and not the other person. Would it would have been easier to ride through the lights, like normal and then pull over at the other side.
