Dumb question, but I've never used this material - would I be right in thinking you mix the flake into lacquer, shoot it over a black base (or any other base colour) then bury it in straight clear?

its a holographic fine flake added to the cleacoat,2 coats over the black base ,then 2 coats of clear clear coat
