Seriously though... a lot of people will take offense from you using caps lock all the time.

It makes you stand out from everyone else.

Maybe a good thing, but then if everyone did it, it would just make the forum a lot more annoying to read.

Usually the people that get flamed are those that are lying/trying to rip people off in their descriptions, or those that don't consider basic courtesies when posting.

if you made the effort to get to know people first before saying things like why do you deserve to stand out from others-you might not get peoples backs up-i'm probably the most kind and courteous person you'd meet but can't be doing with people making unnecessary comments about my ad--yes my caps lock was on-a simple mistake, certainly not meant to help me steal a march on some other poor soul trying to sell something--i'm gonna appologise now, JUST IN CASE i've offended anybody, but anybody who wants a swap or a deal wouldn't give a damn-it's the ones who are bored who take exception and want to give opinions where it really really doesn't matter!

You claim the caps-lock was a mistake, yet you also did the same in the title. Also you added some starts to the description.

I do appreciate that not everyone realises the particulat etiquote of this forum; and things like your initial post are common in many other places.

That's why I wrote a fairly informational reply explaining why people might dislike it.

I'm sure someone that really wanted your laptop would only be minorly bothered that you had made your post harder to read, however it does impact others.
