 |
|
My bike (EX500/GPZ500) fell over in the garage onto the snowblower. The fairing is fine, but there's now a pencil-sized hole in the fuel tank in the side. I haven't even ridden the thing yet!
Does anyone know how to repair this? Does it need to be welded? Is there a filler than can be used on a fuel tank? I know I could look for a replacement tank, but 500s aren't that popular here-and I'd like to fix the original tank if possible.
I hope this isn't an omen...
Thanks! |

Metal putty just sand away the area around the hole, bang some putty on it, wait for it to dry and then sand it down so its flat again. Thats what I did to my tank when I discovered 8 pencil sized holes in my tank! ____________________ Honda MBX50 | Yamaha RD125LC | Suzuki RG125F Lucky Strike | Suzuki GSF600S
