if you have a missus, i would advise NOT using the washing machine.. I still havent heard the end of it after washing the garage rags which were soaked in a oil, brake cleaner, clutch fluid etc etc  |

just how much oil are you talking about?
If its on bike specific boots/trousers i'd just rub it in and forget about it. a few rides in the rain will sort it for you  |

If the fabric can tolerate petrol then there is the answer.
Then rinse in a bucket of soap powder.
engine oil stains are not simply the oil but the carbon deposits from combustion.
Carbon sticks like shite to blanket.
And the best way to remove is to agitate the fibres to try to loosen the carbon's hold.
Not always a success.
You should have considered all this before trading the bird for a bike you fool.

Use clean brake cleaner in a bowl with water then soapy washing powder. Worked a treat on a recent spill i had.
