Dainese's products were more expensive than my bike even with street type jacket! what a price tag. Who will buy them...
And d-air racing misano was priced like 400cc bikes wow.
Maybe for top end racing users. (battery powered, ic controlled) etc
Requires sending back to be reset should be even costly.
Maybe not for normal riders.

Regarding air bag vest types, it looks like Helite is popular in west, while it's not sold a lot in asia. I found some "Hit-air" brand here though. ____________________ 2020 Touring Serow 250

I have the Spidi Venture DPS jacket, the idea behind this one is that it holds your helmet/head in place to limit a broken neck/collerbone rather than the full body airbags of other versions.
Looks like this when inflated (random picture, not me)
https://www.lequipement.fr/produit/blouson/spidi/venture-neck-dps-airbag_004__200.jpg
I have had the airbag deploy in a crash, seemed to do it's job, and i've never had it deploy unintentionally (i.e when getting off the bike) It takes quite a bit of force to activate it.
Spidi now do a full body version which I'll probably upgrade to at some point.
They are expensive, sure, but I think they are worth it. |
