Unfortunately too many chores for me today to get the chance to go far, but I did have a bit of a saunter fairly local Shropshire countryside, about a 60 mile round trip after tea, that's all.
I took a couple of Pictures in Norton, the Church, and the 100 House Hotel, where they do lovely, if expensive meals, and then 1 more a bit further up the road, with a bit of scenery

Decided to pop out to the local 'bike night', although that description stretches it a bit, what with the dark nights and all that !! The pub in the Royal Oak on the Bridgnorth Road, and to be fair, in summer, bike nights can be pretty busy !!
Photo quality not the best, as just had my point & shoot camera with me..

Took a little Sunday morning blat down to Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome.
Didn't stop to look around as thought I didn't have time.
Then got home and realised clocks had gone back and I had an hour to spare after all. Doh!
Still, a nice run and somewhere I'll go back to.

Goth spotting in Whitby.
It was a very easy job to spot a goth as it was heaving with them to the point you could hardly walk down some congested streets without stepping on crinoline.
Good to visit on bike though especially if you know the secret parking places.
Note swing bridge is closed due to sheer weight of lace, leather and velvet clad promenaders.
Predator seemed to have eaten a few judging by his belly stretching lycra undergarments.
The last few years have trended to cybergoths and steampunk, this year quite a few pastel goths (it's hard to keep up and adjust your make-up accordingly )
I noticed a lot of Chinese/Korean/Japanese some in animé style outfits

We stayed in Whitby on Goth Weekend a few years back and dressed up as Mystery Inc. I dressed as Velma with skirt, pointy knockers and all.
The 'serious' Goths thought we were taking the piss. Which we naturally were. Even got refused in one pub in case it kicked off... ____________________ Now - Speed Triple, old ratty GS550, GSXR750M

Went to Hartside today, then onto Shap, Kirkby Stephen, Brough, Middleton and back 190ish miles Lovely day out on the KTM, new front tyre has transformed the bike, handles lovely now with 30psi in both tyres seems to be the sweet spot.

Sunday, so set off in search of Lacock (could have just looked in the mirror).
Found it near Bath.

The journey down was good, blue sky and amazing yellow, gold and orange leaves. Particularly the A31 (usually commuter misery for thousands each day).
The roads over Salisbury plain were great fun.
Proceeded to Lacock Abbey (once home of William Henry Fox Talbot, not a maker of rusty cars, but the inventor of the photographic negative or some such).

240 miles, got back 6pm. That last hour was runny nose, numb fingers chilly. Good to be out on the bike though

I went to meet my Dad in Stratford-Upon-Avon today.
We had a mooch around, had a coffee, more mooching, Sunday roast, more mooching and then once we'd pretty much covered all the interesting bits called it a day and went our separate ways.
Didn't take any pictures apart from the finest cultural display:

No statue is complete without a traffic cone atop. Good job, citizens of Stratford. The coach-loads of Asian tourists got a full taster of the British town experience! ____________________ The mistresses: 2000 Honda CBR600f, 2000 Honda VTR1000 |
