Hey all,

I swapped my battery at the weekend as the old was 10 years old and I recently had a reg/rec fry and didn't want it happening again. some forums indicated it can be caused by a fault battery and Battery= £40 Reg/Rec= £70 minimum £130 if I go with a Yamaha one.

All went well but I seem to have gain a problem that I had a couple of months ago that I thought had gone away but could be related. The bike is idling at about 900 rpm and if I am cruising and pull the clutch all the way in it can stall especially when cold.

I am thinking I just need to adjust the idle and some posts on interwebs say this can be done by turning the idle screw on the left hand side but I cant seem to find a picture of it. I prefer to have some form of reference before randomly tinkering. I tried You tube too and didn't find anything.

Any help or advice appreciated.

I take it you've also installed at least a basic voltage display to show what the battery voltage is whilst riding? I'd do that.
