CBR600F radiator problems

Hi

I have a CBR600f4i

Was running a bit hot.

Drained it and found very little water in the radiator. Topped it up and found there is a hole that leads to the expansion tank. The nipple that the pipe is attached to had a crack in it and it was leaking.

I had a poke with my finger and it snapped off.

I got mine welded/soldered on.

If you still have the bit of tube, then you should be able to get it welded back on.

It's not something that deals with any high pressures or forces as it's just a drain tube to the expansion tank, therefore weld integrity doesn't have to be super great.

One thing to note, whoever ends up welding it, be careful of heat deformation of the cap seat. I had to grind the top face flush again to create a good seal.

On closer inspection it seems like somebody has mated a CBR600FY radiator to my F4i.

The expansion tank run off hole on the FY is positioned directly forwards on the F4i it's in line with the radiator.
