Posting photos

I realise this makes me a fairly worthless human being, and to my shame I ran a computer company for 26 years. However, I can't post photos on this site. I have a Flickr account but nothing I do results in a photo in a post.

Could anyone take pity and tell me what I'm doing wrong? Or how to do it right?

flickr doesn't allow you to post [img][/img]

try free https://postimages.org/ just for the ones you want to share

It's more tricky from mobile devices.
In flickr view 'more sizes' and select a smaller one e.g. 800 pixels.
Right click it get image address.
paste here between BB code IMG tags inserted by clicking the img button or type it manually

You can get them off google images too. Bit of a fanny though, you need to "share" the album the picture is in then navigate to it having either logged out of google or from a private browser window. You can then right click in the images and copy image address to wrap in img tags. If you're logged in to google, it'll give you a URL that only works for you when you're logged in.

the lnks are pretty long and numb and don't look like image links. ie:

Sounds like imgur is easier.
