Awright dudes, dudettes bought some cool things today.

1) Optimate 3

2) 512mb Memory Stick Pro

3) New 3 Bedroom mid terraced villa.

Now the problem with the new house is that it is a pishy new development, "picturesque"... Ie fuck all garden. Being a mid terrace I have no access to the rear garden from the road for bike storage. So what are my options? Storage wise for the bikes? We will have a small drive at the front of the house but thats it.

Any sort of ride in garage that would look good plonked at the front door?

Wow...thats how you spend some m0oney!!! Wehreabouts did you move to then? I take it this is your own pad then i.e moving out of the parents?

There are several different types of small metal sheds you can buy to put bikes into, but I'm not too sure of any links. No doubt someone will post up a link. Is this just for your gsxr or is it for the cb too?

I've got a simalar property.
I rent a council garage which is meters from my back door for about £6 a week.

Well done on getting a new pad mate Thumbs Up

Bike storage tends to be in big tin sheds.
Not exactly very esoteric outside a front door.
They're also not that cheap

The Bike Barn is little more than a tent so I think not that secure!

Try these:
Arrow https://www.secure-a-bike.com/
Arrow https://www.trimetals.co.uk/motorcycle.php?m=3
Arrow https://www.motoeurope.com/bike_barn.html
Arrow https://www.securit.gb.com/

If you find anything more elegant please post details as I have a friend in a similar situation.

HTH Thumbs Up

That first link looks great - Be sure to checkout their 4minute video. It's just too expensive and was 2x as much as the other decent one.

Also checkout www.bikesafe.info

I've got one of these. They are virtually thief proof, 3 separate lock and a wheel lock inside. Plus it's just basically a big galvanised steel box that makes a hell of a racked as soon as you touch it. Big enough to keep my Bird in (just) and you can even move it about (with the help of a mate).
It also counts as a garage for insurance purposes with most insurers.

Saw the BikeSafe one outside the shop at Squires near Sherburn.
Looks good.
If I had to buy something like this I think that's the one I'd go for.
Thumbs Up

Still not sure if it's the thing for outside the front door thought Confused

Nah it was the mothers choice, new development near centre of town, little villagesqape nonsense.

Joining the Navy/RM in 18 months or so - not in a position to buy myself.

Theres no access to the rear of the house whatsoever, new development going in adjacent so will need to wait and see if i can do a fly cutting fence that isnt mine down routine Razz.

Looks like ill be seeling the GSXR cause ive got nowhere to keep it - shame.

Good excuse to go bike shopping though!

I wouldn't sell your bike because you've got nowhere to keep it. I keep my bike at a mates house because he's got a secure garage. Free of charge too! Keep the bike and find a lock up or use a relatives/friends garage Thumbs Up

hahaaha stupid phone. I tell you, it has a mind of its own at the moment!!! Evil or Very Mad Laughing

Yeah, theres no stopping me from upgrading this bike just after summer or even earlier. Just once I start earning again. If I had the money right now, I'd get one of the many many sv650's off ebay at the moment. Proper full faired jobbie. Slightly older styling as the new ones a bit angular for my liking Shocked

One like this: https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=9808&item=4534868120&rd=1

No more than 2 and a half grand mind. It was either one of them or probably jsut a sports 600. Still got the zrx in my mind though Confused

Oops, sorry Oni. I think me and colin have done it again... Embarassed Laughing

Laughing

Thought you got it for £2.4k? Wink

I'm looking for something with a bit less mileage, but I'll keep yours in mind. The sound of it certainly appeals Laughing

It'll all depend on what I get for my bike. I'm hoping for a grand and sell the exhaust system for about £160 on ebay. I'll jam a months pay cheque on top of that and hopefully I should have enough for what I want at the time (it changes everday as you can imagine) Wink

£2250 for a year 2000 GSX-R 600. What I paid for it 2 months ago and its only been ridden a handful of times due to me not having a license for it.

It has light fairing damage either side. Scratches in the decals to be honest and some heavier scratches on the seat unit.

Because I have done nothing to the bike, paid for nothing on it, I couldn't honestly sell it to a forum member for any more than I paid.

Edit: Well I could but...
