Caution, slightly odd, full disclosure advert!
Bike came to me with no history, 167,000 KM (bike is originally a german parallel import, so it has an MPH speedo face but an odometer in KM) on the clock and no third gear. It was fairly evident it'd been looked after very well, there is an Ohlins hydraulic preload adjustable rear shock, stainless caliper pins etc. Guy I got it from had taken it as part exchange and just wanted rid of it.

Motor was swapped for a 30,600 mile unit with a full complement of gears and everything cleaned/re-greased on the rebuild.

Added a shiny high level carbon can, rearranged the Ohlins reservoir.

Swapped a few bits of bodywork for nicer ones.

As it stands above. The bike is serviced and ready to go, and will have a new clutch and chain and sprockets fitted if someone should want to purchase it. MOT is out in March, but if a decent offer is made I will re-MOT as it shouldn't need anything.
Again features are many:
K&N filter
Flapper valve removed (properly, not just disconnected)
Stainless pipes and carbon high level can
MRA (German made, not cheap) race screen
Rebuilt/painted front forks
Stainless caliper pins
Single seat cover
Ohlins Adjustable shock w/hydraulic pre load adj.
Daytime running light
Heated grips
Everything greased and rebuilt, so nothing will be seized!
Bad points are limited to cosmetics, offside fairing panel has scratches that have been touched in with badly matched paint, nose cone has a couple of cracks but nothing major and the wheels let the side down. With the fairing panel changed and the wheels powdercoated you would have a hard time getting people to believe it'd done over 50k miles, let alone 100k!
TL:DR High mileage nice VFR, trick bits, rides well, sounds great, low mileage motor.
Don't know what it's worth due to the history it has, make me an offer?!
P.S have done about 1,000km on this since the motor swap, have had no running issues at all with it. You won't be a guinea pig! ____________________ Bikes: too many, too much for one man to maintain anyway. |
