In this pole i am basing it on the 04 models of each.

I love the 600 class and all five of these bikes are great but i want to know what the outright winner is and why you picked one over another????

Happy arguing.

We did this '04 argument back on '04 where you can search.

Trouble is, all of this stuff is in the bike mags, and so any arguing we do on the subject would just be re covering old ground.

TBH I seriously doubt that anyone on this forum has ridden all of the above, and so can actually provide an informed opinion.

This forum has always tended to stray away from the norm. Well, the norm is to argue over which 600 is best. How about we argue about something new? Smile

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

As MarJay says above, I really doubt anyone here has ridden all of the '04 bikes and so it will be down to people's subjective beliefs rather than experience.

This topic has been done to death. Dug up and then done to death some more.

I think the general theory is:

Unless you are a GP star and get get 100% out of the bikes, go for the one you like the look of/can afford.

There is no 'best' bike. They each have their own field in which they are better than the rest.

Bike magazines will give a little praise to a bike for being well built, reliable, useable, having great wind protection and storage.
But if it's 0.2 seconds quicker round a track, its the best thing EVER!

Their all quick as hell and the difference betwean the fastest and slowest isnt noticeable to the average rider, so focus on looks and practicality. And don't pay to much attentions to the ravings in bike magazines!

"The steering isn't as sharp as it could be on the ZX6R and is 0.7 seconds slower on the quarter mile."

You'd have to be some rider to actually notice anything like that.

Personally, I'd discount the ZX6R as I didn't like the wrist-heavy riding position ...

I found the seat on CBR600RR uncomfortable, the edges digging into my legs while shuffling the bike around ...

I really don't like the looks of the Triumph ... (Okay, so I'm shallow Razz )

I'd go for a GSX-R600 or the R6 - both felt "just right" to me Smile Thumbs Up
